 I was OVER SERVED |

Singing a song about DRINKING |

Im back playing music. I play drums. I quit playing professionally 10 years ago. For the first few years I didn't miss it. I was burnt out. I also play guitar and sing a little. I've always kept a guitar around just to noodle on. Then over the last couple years I noticed I was banging on the dashboard of my car, tapping the floor with my feet and singing around the house.
Last year I started jamming on the weekends with some old friends in a garage. Then one day my friend called and said "Hey Matt, the bands got a gig, can you PLAY?" I laughed and said "sure". So we went down and played one night. The club LOVED US and asked if we could come back and play again.
Well since then it's become a semi-regular gig and our fans are growing LOL! I've also been receiving offers to play with other bands and situations. Funny.
I've always enjoyed music ESPECIALLY when it doesn't seem like a JOB. I told my band, the moment it starts feeling like a job I have to quit ha ha. Well so far it's been all fun and a great social experience with people from 21 yrs old to 50 yrs old enjoying us. A crowd of people who appreciate me for something I spent most of my early years doing and who don't have any idea what my "real job" is! I LOVE that part
This year I plan to incorporate more music into my life: Write, listen, produce and play it.
This band is called "The Sarcastics" and we play everything from country to rock. I wear a Cowboy hat because I sing a couple country songs! Let me know if you'd like to come down and see a band that really knows how to DRINK! The money I make playing the gig almost covers my alcohol bill each night!
Here's a pic of me last weekend doing something familar to me as wearing old shoes. Yeah Im fairly faded.
Good Times.
